About bevestor

bevestor GmbH was founded in 2016 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, based in Frankfurt am Main; since 2018 bevestor has been used as the digital asset management service in the Sparkassen Finance Group (the German savings bank network) and is also offered through the websites of many Sparkassen. bevestor puts together rule-based ETF and fund portfolios at several risk levels, including sustainable variants. bevestor itself is not a bank and therefore has no deposit protection (Einlagensicherung) of its own: account and depot are held at DekaBank, which as an institution of the Sparkassen Finance Group is under BaFin supervision (BaFin is the German financial regulator) and is a member of the Sparkassen's institution-based protection scheme; balances in the settlement account are covered there by the statutory deposit protection up to €100,000. Fund and ETF units in the depot are segregated assets and do not form part of the insolvency estate.
