Kosten.org is a free price comparison and information portal. To be able to offer this service permanently and to a high standard, we use several forms of funding.
How we are funded
Our main source of income is affiliate links (partner links). On our website these links are usually marked with a small asterisk (*) or a corresponding note.
If you click on such a link and then buy a product or take out a contract with the provider (for example, open a current account or apply for a loan), we receive a referral commission from the provider.
What this means for you
- No extra cost: The product or contract costs you not a cent more than if you signed up directly with the provider without our link. Occasionally, partner links also come with extra bonuses or special terms – we state this next to the relevant offer.
- Independence: Our ratings and comparisons are based on defined criteria (see our rating methodology). An affiliate link does not influence the ranking in our comparisons – we also list providers with whom we have no partnership.
- Transparency: We point out our affiliate partnerships on our pages and in the footer. We label paid placements as “Ad”; they have no influence on grades and scores.
Why we do this
Running a portal like Kosten.org involves significant costs for hosting, research, technical development and editorial work. Affiliate income allows us to cover these costs and keep our service free for you.
