About Traders Place

Traders Place GmbH & Co. KGaA, based on Sägewerkstraße in Freilassing (Traunstein local court, HRB 31263), has been in the German market since August 2023 and is run by Ernst Huber and Paul Reitinger; Christian Jauk sits on the supervisory board. Traders Place operates as a securities institution (Wertpapierinstitut) under German BaFin supervision (BaFin is the German financial regulator) but has no banking licence of its own. Account and depot management are therefore handled by Baader Bank AG of Unterschleißheim: balances in the settlement account held there are protected by law up to €100,000 through the Entschädigungseinrichtung deutscher Banken (the German statutory deposit guarantee scheme), and beyond that the voluntary deposit protection fund of the Bundesverband deutscher Banken applies. Securities in the depot are customer property or segregated assets and are therefore unaffected by an insolvency of the broker or custodian bank. Shares, ETFs, funds, bonds and derivatives are traded, supplemented by free savings plans.
