XTB review 2026
How good is XTB really?
In Germany, XTB is known above all as a CFD broker, but it now also offers a full securities range with genuine customer ownership – the provider itself states that investors invest in real securities and thus acquire ownership rights in a part of a company. Shares and ETFs are commission-free up to a total monthly turnover of 100,000 euros, and for some time now there have been free ETF and share savings plans. The German branch is based in Berlin, and supervision lies with the Polish KNF.

Conclusion: XTB review
XTB has developed from a pure CFD provider into a serious securities broker: a free custody account, commission-free trading up to 100,000 euros of monthly turnover and genuinely free ETF savings plans make for a convincing pricing structure. Points are deducted because the provider does not disclose its trading venues, offers no bonds and does not publish the permanent credit interest rate in machine-readable form.
