71/100
Points

GoTo Webinar is the veteran among webinar platforms – on the market for over 15 years and established with enterprise customers. In our 100-point rating we check whether GoTo Webinar can keep up with the more modern competitors or whether the platform's age becomes a disadvantage.

Highlights of our GoTo Webinar review

  • GoTo Webinar scores 71/100 points in our rating – a solid basis, but dated.
  • On the market for over 15 years with proven infrastructure.
  • Robust reporting with registration tracking.
  • Part of the GoTo suite for seamless meeting integration.

1 Webinar features & interaction

20/32
Points
GoTo Webinar offers all the standard features: registration pages, automatic email invitations, polls, Q&A and hand-raising. Recording is included, and on-demand replays are possible. Source tracking for registrations shows which channels participants came from – useful for marketing attribution. The simulcast function allows streaming to YouTube and Facebook. Simulive events (pre-recorded webinars at fixed times) are possible. Group rooms and AI summaries are only available from the Elevate plan. The landing pages are no longer up to date in design, and the marketing automation is largely limited to automatic emails. Scoring (20/32): Solid basic functions, but behind modern marketing competitors. Group rooms only from Elevate, landing pages dated.

2 Streaming quality & stability

15/18
Points
Streaming quality is reliable – GoTo has over 15 years of infrastructure experience. HD video and good audio quality are standard. Reach allows up to 500 participants, the top tier Complete up to 3,000. However: the desktop client is required for presenters. Participants can join via the browser, but with limited functionality. In 2026 that is a clear disadvantage compared with fully browser-based solutions. Scoring (15/18): Proven stability, but the download requirement for presenters is no longer up to date.

3 Data protection & GDPR

12/16
Points
GoTo is a US company (LogMeIn/GoTo Group). A data processing agreement under the GDPR is available, and the privacy documentation is extensive. Before use, check certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and where registration data and recordings are stored. For enterprise customers, GoTo provides extended compliance documents – an advantage over smaller providers. Which certificates apply to your scenario should be checked in the provider's trust centre. Scoring (12/16): Good compliance documents, but US jurisdiction remains.

4 Integrations & usability

13/20
Points
GoTo Webinar integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Microsoft 365 and more than 100 other tools. The API is documented, and Zapier extends the possibilities. The user interface looks dated – the design feels like it comes from the 2010s. Navigation is more cumbersome than with more modern alternatives. Setting up a webinar takes longer than necessary. Reporting is the strength: detailed participant analyses, attention indicators and registration funnels. The data can be exported and retrieved via API. Scoring (13/20): Good integrations and strong reporting, but a dated interface and cumbersome operation.

5 Prices & plans

11/14
Points
GoTo Webinar offers no permanently free plan, but a free trial. The plans (as of October 2026, according to goto.com): Reach costs €50 a month with annual payment or €59 with monthly payment – for one organiser and up to 500 participants. Elevate (up to 1,000 participants) and Complete (up to 3,000) are only available through sales. With an annual subscription you save around 15%. Per participant seat, Reach is therefore the cheapest entry in the comparison: ClickMeeting Essential (€35) and Demio Starter ($45) are cheaper, but limited to 50 participants. Scoring (11/14): Fair euro prices for large groups, but higher tiers only on request.

Pros & cons at a glance

Pros

  • 15+ years of market experience
  • Robust reporting
  • Reach: 500 participants from €50/month
  • Up to 3,000 participants (Complete)
  • Part of the GoTo suite
  • Simulive events possible

Conclusion: GoTo Webinar review

71/100
Good (2.5)

GoTo Webinar scores 71 out of 100 points – a solid tool, but one that has aged. For enterprise customers with existing GoTo infrastructure it is a logical choice, and anyone planning larger groups early gets 500 participants for €50 a month with Reach. For marketing webinars there are more modern alternatives.
