GetResponse is a veteran of the email marketing industry: founded in Poland as early as 1998, the company has developed into a comprehensive marketing platform. A unique selling point among newsletter tools is the integrated webinar hosting in the Creator plan. Together with the website builder, conversion funnels and an AI email generator, GetResponse positions itself as an all-in-one solution for solopreneurs. In our 100-point rating we examine whether GetResponse lives up to its broad promise of features.

Highlights of our GetResponse review

  • GetResponse scores 74/100 points in our rating – strong in conversion tools.
  • Integrated webinar hosting in the Creator plan (from €50.84 a month net, annual).
  • The AI generator creates emails, subject lines and landing pages.
  • EU servers in Poland with a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement.

1 Features & automation

24/32
Points
GetResponse offers a broad range of features that goes far beyond pure email marketing: the drag-and-drop editor is solid, and the AI newsletter generator (based on OpenAI) creates emails, including design, at the push of a button. The results are usable but need reworking for professional campaigns. The automation workflows are well designed, but the Starter plan includes only one custom workflow; unlimited workflows come from Marketer (€54 net). Trigger-based sequences, scoring models and tagging logic allow differentiated marketing. The conversion funnel builder combines landing pages, email series and checkout pages in a visualised funnel – ideal for product launches and lead magnets. The webinar feature is the unique selling point, though only in the Creator plan: live and on-demand webinars, paid webinars, webinar funnels and recording (the pricing page states up to 500 attendees for Creator). Hardly any other newsletter tool integrates webinars natively. A/B testing covers subject lines and content. Scoring (24/32): A broad range of features with a unique webinar feature. Deductions for the AI generator (still room for improvement), the less polished editor and missing multivariate testing.

2 Deliverability & email infrastructure

14/18
Points
GetResponse uses shared IP pools with a good reputation; kosten.org does not carry out its own deliverability measurements. SPF, DKIM and DMARC (email authentication standards) are fully supported. Dedicated IP addresses are available in the higher plans or in the Enterprise offering. Automatic list hygiene identifies hard bounces and inactive contacts. The inbox tester checks the email in various mail clients before sending. Transactional emails can be booked as a separate add-on – not an integral part as at Brevo. For high sending volumes, GetResponse offers its own SMTP servers as an Enterprise solution. Scoring (14/18): Solid infrastructure with good authentication. Deductions for transactional emails being booked separately.

3 GDPR & data protection

11/16
Points
GetResponse operates servers in the EU (Poland) and offers a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement. As a Polish company, GetResponse is directly subject to the European GDPR. Double opt-in is configurable but not enabled by default. The consent management functions record consents with a timestamp. Unsubscribe links are legally compliant. However: the GDPR-specific features are less prominently integrated than at CleverReach or rapidmail – you have to actively look for them and configure them. For German users, the interface is available in German; live chat is in English, while email support (24/7) is available in German among other languages. Data protection-specific help articles exist but are less extensive than at the German providers. Scoring (11/16): EU servers and a data processing agreement are in place. Deductions for the missing double opt-in as standard, the less prominent GDPR integration and English-language live chat.

4 Integrations & ease of use

15/20
Points
GetResponse offers more than 170 native integrations: Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Salesforce, PayPal and Google Analytics. The API is well documented, and Zapier extends the possibilities. Integration with conversion funnels and the website builder is seamless. The user interface is functional but less intuitive than Brevo's or Mailchimp's. The variety of features (email, webinar, website, funnels, automation) makes for a steeper learning curve. Onboarding could be more structured. Reporting includes real-time statistics, engagement tracking and the ROI calculator for e-commerce integrations. Webinar analytics show attendee activity, engagement and conversion rates – a unique addition. Scoring (15/20): A good variety of integrations with unique webinar analytics. Deductions for the steeper learning curve and the less intuitive onboarding.

5 Price & plans

10/14
Points
GetResponse offers a free account with restrictions (including a GetResponse badge and a maximum of 1,000 landing page visits); the pricing page gives no specific contact and email limits. The paid plans (as of October 2026, according to getresponse.com, net plus VAT, monthly payment) start with Starter at €16 a month for 1,000 contacts (1 custom workflow); Marketer costs €54 with unlimited workflows. Webinars are only available in the Creator plan: €62 a month with monthly payment or €50.84 with annual payment (1,000 contacts). Email sending is unlimited in all paid plans, and with annual payment the price falls by 18%. GetResponse shows prices for larger lists only in its price calculator. The price structure is complex: several plan levels with different feature scopes and contact-based tiering make comparison difficult. For large customers there is an individual Enterprise offer. For solopreneurs who use webinars, the Creator plan can replace a separate webinar tool. Scoring (10/14): A free account and a webinar option. Deductions for the complex price structure and the high costs as lists grow.

Conclusion: GetResponse review

74/100
Good (2.3)
