78/100
Points

Demio has made a name for itself as the most user-friendly webinar platform – "set-up in under 5 minutes" is the promise. In our 100-point rating we check whether Demio also convinces on depth of features and value for money, in addition to ease of use.

Highlights of our Demio review

  • Demio scores 78/100 points in our rating – particularly easy to use.
  • A webinar can be set up in under 5 minutes.
  • Automated evergreen webinars for passive lead generation.
  • Browser-based with a modern, uncluttered interface.

1 Webinar features & conversion

24/32
Points
Demio shines with conversion-oriented features: CTAs (calls to action) can be displayed on a timer, handouts and downloads are available directly in the webinar room, and offers can be placed as pop-ups. Live webinars, automated webinars and on-demand replays are available. The automated webinars simulate live events including chat simulation – ideal for evergreen content. Polls, Q&A and chat are built in. However, breakout rooms and advanced collaboration features are missing. The landing pages are modern and customisable, but not as flexible as at Livestorm. Scoring (24/32): Strong conversion tools and the simplest set-up. Deductions for the missing breakout rooms and limited interaction features.

2 Streaming quality & technology

14/18
Points
Demio is fully browser-based (WebRTC). Video quality is good, with HD as standard. Depending on the plan, up to 3,000 participants are possible (Starter: 50). Recording is automatic and available on demand. Screen sharing and presentation uploads work smoothly. Browser compatibility is good, though there are occasional reports of problems with Safari. Latency is acceptable for live interaction, but not quite at Zoom level. For marketing webinars that is perfectly sufficient. Scoring (14/18): Solid browser-based performance. Deductions for occasional browser problems and the low participant limit on the Starter plan.

3 Data protection & GDPR

10/16
Points
Demio is a US company. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available, and the registration forms can be given consent checkboxes. For privacy-sensitive German companies, US jurisdiction is a drawback: before use, check the DPA, certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and where registration data and recordings are stored. The privacy documentation is in English. Scoring (10/16): A DPA is available, but a US provider with no stated EU data hosting – a drawback for companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

4 Integrations & usability

16/20
Points
Demio offers integrations with the common marketing tools: HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, Drip and Keap. The API is available, but less extensive than at Zoom or Livestorm. Ease of use is its greatest asset: the dashboard is uncluttered, navigation is intuitive, and a webinar is set up in under 5 minutes. Hardly any other provider in the comparison is ready to use so quickly. Reporting shows registrations, participant behaviour, CTA clicks and engagement. The data can be exported and sent to external systems via webhook. Scoring (16/20): Best usability in the comparison. Deductions for the limited number of native integrations.

5 Prices & plans

14/14
Points
Demio offers no permanently free plan and bills in US dollars (as of October 2026, according to demio.com): Starter costs $45 a month with annual payment or $63 with monthly payment and is limited to 50 participants and one host. Growth starts at $117 and Premium at $196 a month (annual); the larger tiers allow up to 3,000 participants. Compared with Livestorm, entry is cheaper, but more expensive than ClickMeeting or LiveWebinar. The exchange rate and possible credit card fees come on top. A 14-day trial (up to 20 participants) is available. Scoring (14/14): Transparent pricing model with a free trial.

Conclusion: Demio review

78/100
Good (2.1)

Demio scores 78 out of 100 points and suits sole traders and coaches who want to create professional webinars quickly and easily. The Starter plan ($45/month annual) is enough for up to 50 participants; for larger groups it becomes much more expensive with Growth from $117. For enterprise requirements or GDPR-critical scenarios there are better options.
