About S-Kreditpartner
S-Kreditpartner GmbH, based in Berlin, has been the specialist partner of the Sparkassen Finance Group (the German savings bank network) for instalment lending since 2011. Its shareholders are Deutsche Leasing, Berliner Sparkasse as part of Landesbank Berlin, and SKP Verbundgesellschaft, through which further Sparkassen hold shares. The company is licensed as a credit institution and supervised by BaFin (the German financial regulator), but it does not run its own retail business with current accounts or savings deposits: its S-Privatkredit and S-Autokredit products are sold through several hundred Sparkassen and through car dealerships and retailers, supplemented by online routes such as S-Kredit-per-Klick and comparison portals. For borrowers this means a combination of a nationwide specialist lender and support from the local Sparkasse.
