About Nexent Bank
Nexent Bank N.V., based in Amsterdam, was founded in 1994 and initially operated as Finansbank (Holland) N.V.; in 2007 it was renamed Credit Europe Bank N.V., and since July 2025 the institution has traded as Nexent Bank. The bank has been present in Germany since 1998 through a branch in Frankfurt am Main, where it offers deposit products only, mainly call money (Tagesgeld) and fixed-term deposits (Festgeld) with a wide range of terms and comparatively low minimum investment amounts. The legal entity remains the Dutch bank, so ongoing supervision lies with the Dutch central bank De Nederlandsche Bank and not with BaFin (the German financial regulator). Deposit protection is accordingly provided by the Dutch deposit guarantee scheme (Depositogarantiestelsel), which covers €100,000 per customer and bank. The offer is interesting for savers looking for low entry amounts and long fixed-term periods who accept the responsibility of a foreign guarantee scheme.
