About Figo

Contrary to a possible mix-up, Figo is not a broker and not a robo-advisor but a pet health insurance brand that trades under figopet.de. In Germany the offer is run by Tiergarant Versicherungsdienst GmbH, based in Hanover, which has been active in the German market since 2013 and acts as an underwriting agency (Assekuradeur); the risk carrier is AGILA Haustierversicherung AG. Dogs, cats and other pets are insured regardless of age and breed, with plans for surgery cover and full cover, high reimbursement rates and no annual limit. Because this is insurance rather than banking business, there is neither a BaFin licence as a credit institution nor deposit protection (Einlagensicherung): insurance cover is provided through the risk carrier, which as an insurance company is subject to solvency supervision.

Special features

  • Run by the underwriting agency Tiergarant Versicherungsdienst GmbH, Hanover
  • Risk carrier is AGILA Haustierversicherung AG
  • Part of the Dutch insurance group Veterfina
  • Not a bank, broker or asset management offer
