About ERGO
ERGO Group AG, based in Düsseldorf, was formed in 1997 through the merger of VICTORIA, Hamburg-Mannheimer, DKV and D.A.S. and has belonged entirely to the reinsurer Munich Re since 2001. Several BaFin-supervised German risk carriers operate under the group's umbrella, including ERGO Versicherung AG, ERGO Lebensversicherung AG, DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung and the legal expenses brand D.A.S. For retail customers there is personal liability, home contents, legal expenses, pet owner's liability, dental supplementary cover as well as term life and funeral cover insurance. The former ERGO Direkt of Nuremberg is now integrated into the group and provides the direct-sales-oriented supplementary and funeral cover plans.
