About DTW Immobilienfinanzierung
DTW Immobilienfinanzierung is run by DTW GmbH, based in Mannheim, which has been in the market since 2002 and is regarded as one of the pioneers of mortgage brokerage by phone and post. It arranges property loans for purchase, new build, modernisation and follow-on financing from a bank pool that also includes public development institutions such as KfW. DTW is not a bank but holds the permit as a property loan broker (Immobiliardarlehensvermittler) under section 34i (1) of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO) and as a loan broker under section 34c (1) no. 2 GewO, and is entered in the broker register; it is supervised by the competent Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) or trade authority and not by BaFin (the German financial regulator). Deposit protection (Einlagensicherung) does not apply, as no customer funds are held and the loan contract is concluded directly with the lending institution. Advice is mostly by phone and digitally from the customer centre in Mannheim, supplemented by an advertised low-interest guarantee. The provider is mainly of interest to borrowers who do not need on-site advice and decide on the basis of terms.
