The DA Direkt brand is run by DA Deutsche Allgemeine Versicherung AG, based in Frankfurt am Main. The company goes back to a joint-stock company founded in Berlin in 1923, which was taken over by Zurich in 1928; today it is the direct insurer of Zurich Gruppe Deutschland.
