About Crédit Agricole Savings

Crédit Agricole Savings is a digital savings platform that the French Crédit Agricole group launched in Germany in April 2026. It is operated by Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance S.A., based in Massy near Paris, the group's consumer credit arm. Several call money (Tagesgeld, instant-access savings) variants with different maximum investment amounts are offered, along with fixed-term deposits (Festgeld) of various terms; the accounts are held with a French IBAN and opened entirely online. The supervisory authority is not BaFin (the German financial regulator) but the French ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution) together with the ECB. Deposit protection is provided by the French deposit guarantee fund Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR), which covers €100,000 per customer and bank. The offer is aimed at savers who want a large European banking group behind them and can live with French account management.
